Well Rob,

It is unsurprising to see you climb upon your pedestal and assert your righteousness as a warrior against all forces of darkness.

But there are inconsistencies in your behavior that belie your claim to virtuousness and victim-hood.

#1 Such as the email linked below, in which you showed up out of nowhere in my private email trying to incite me to troll a third party. And when I told you that I was not interested in engaging you on my email and wanted to be left alone, you kept harassing me. By your definition, that could be considered an “attack.”
You can’t do stuff like that and still lay claim to Mr. goody-two-shoes.

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1moR6kSYwMGd_I1_aVflOAyvirKrNq96x/view?usp=sharing

#2 You have declared that the person that you reduced to a “fly” in your “song” is an actual person.
Yet you don’t name them.
Yet you seem to carry on furtive references to the unnamed “fly” in multiple places with multiple people.
Characterizing that as insidious and petty would not be unreasonable in the minds of a lot of people. And though veiled and oblique, it still seems a categorical “attack” on someone...by your definition.

You can’t lay claim to Mr. goody-two-shoes and do those things.

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING WITH COMPREHENSION.
I’ve written it before but you don't seem to comprehend.

This is a public forum with an expressed policy of permitting free speech.
You may express whatever political leanings and biases that you want here.
When you do, I can comment on any aspect of your “songs” or assertions that I choose. (within certain indeterminate bounds)

And will.

If you take criticism of your various assertions as “attacks,” that is a perception of yours, not mine.

This lyric and this song is not about politics Marty and quit trying to make it so

I am not responsible for how someone will react to it after having seen anything else on this site...whatever.

If anyone cares to scroll though pages...well good on them

In the meantime, I had some creative fun writing the lyric and am presently engaged in creating a video. The collaboration has been a good one once again.
(Did you see the last one was not political ....aimed at everyone who has their hand in your pockets)

You rise to this political bait too quickly and Tony has you tuned up as well.

Once again...this is about our own dysfunctional behaviour. Rob and I are making fun of all of us here and no one has been harshly labelled or treated.

John

I didn't say that this particular song was about politics.
I said that it was nonsensical and named me, amongst other things.

Please tell me...
In your view, what am I allowed to comment on regarding the song and in what manner am I allowed to comment?

Thanks.

Marty, you are to my knowledge a smart, rational, capable individual who should be able to govern themselves even if others may not be.

You do not need my guidance

You (and I ) and others simply need to extend one another more grace.

In political and religious conversation, the messenger is not the one to shoot.

I expect you and Tony could have a great discussion about your theological differences if you focused on discussing them instead of how awful or stupid or your favourite word the other person is for believing what they do

You know yourself that the first rule in any debate is that if you feel the need to attack the person debating then you have already lost

Have a beef with someone? Have a straight up conversation. If you need to apologize, do so.

John,

There is all that, which is general and guideline-ishly philosophical.

Here is something more specific.

I do not want to be named, referenced or alluded to in songs that you and Rob write. Rob whines about being "attacked," yet such veiled and not-so-veiled "songs" seem to be his typical brand of vindictive weaponization.

I also don't want to cook-up my own little response songs.
I've done it and it's boring.

If you and Rob are going to bring me into your "songs," in spite of my preference to be left out...then it's up to me how I respond.

Regarding politics...
There are many things not to like about Trump.
Nonetheless I voted for him 3 times.
I do not come on here and advocate for Trump or his actions, because personal politics is toxin to an effort such as this.
You and Rob have brought your dislike with Trump-world frequently to this site.
It's allowed.

And so is whatever I may put up as a rebuke...within limits.

Fair is fair. Realize these things.

OTOH,
if someone puts up a pleasant and well written song about a pleasant (enough) subject...look for me to post a pleasant and encouraging comment.

Awesome, thank you for being direct

So here is more direct. Pay For It is NOT about Trump. It is about ALL elites digging into the pockets of the little guy. Trump is the government of the day. Full stop reality. The buck stops with whoever he throws under the bus.

We Are All Not All Bad is not about you, does not reference you directly and is inspired by our collective dysfunctional behaviour and comes out with a positive message

You are entirely free to post your reactions but as our friend Ayn Rand so aptly said, go back to your premise if your conclusion is off.
Your reply and raised hackles are not about what you think they are.

So perhaps next time you commment, don't let that baggage lead the conversation because then the danger is that your rebukes are meaningless except as an indicator of your state of mind.

And no one in their right minds holds you responsible for Trump. You voted for him. Fine. You exercised your right to do so. No one...at least I don't....thinks you did so without thought. But then you felt the need to defend him for everything he was doing that we called him on, and did so by attacking us for having TDS.

Again, personal attacks mean you have nothing else to offer the debate on the issue.

Ok Aohn...

You've made your speech. Let's let that be the last speech here and see if everyone can walk-their-talk going forward.

If so..bliss should follow.

Have a lovely day.

Then lets hope bliss follows you around Marty as you set an example of walking their talk.

And to maintain bliss in your household, might I suggest you listen to your wife and tech support and not eat or drink near your keyboard as it seems to have a recurring mispelling my name issue.

I suppose that could due to some other reason that is supposed to mean something.

To me it brought your sincerity here in question.

A man would have addressed me by name

But as you say, let's see going forward
