Studio sounds pretty good. Only thing that stands out is there is a disconnect between the vocal and the rest of the music. You have a distinct style, but im not sure you are a singer... Is that the only way you can sing? Its hard for a melody to come through, seems you are shouting and preaching , more than singing. I liked the lyric and the track sounds good.

Well, you're no Frank Sinatra, but then Sinatra was no you. Your vocal did the job on this. Congrats!

Thanks John He wasn't the most technical singer, Johnny cash be7ng a country version of that But the sound of his voice had everything in it. Part mobster, part gentleman. Worldly voice that the common man could relate to. Genuine, he didn't write anything but he made every song seem like he did He was also a great arranger

Well you play the actor in the vocal booth for 45 minutes . Songs done , back to the reality of your own life . it ain't prison fights like the song . Typical boring shite like paying bills. Franks era it was all them innocent swing on a star songs. Sweet love songs . Nothing like today's lyrics .
I do have a question for you , Is everybody a assholee in New York city , or is that bullshit in movies .?

I do have a question for you , Is everybody a assholee in New York city , or is that bullshit in movies .? New York is everything. All of humanity, at its best and at its worst, at all times. Jersey is an off shoot of that. At any moment you might see the most heroic, unselfish act, then yiu might see the worst humanity has to offer. Not assholes, we just come with enormous chips on our shoulders, . The struggles previous generations had going back to the revolution, settling in ny, building the greatest city in the world, all by immigrants btw. Didn't do that by letting people fack with them. But when the chips aee down, most New Yorkers do the right thing Back to Frank, way more than sweet love songs, its how you are hearing it, from somebody representing all that. The lyrics were spot on, no wasted word, specific, stripped down, AND extremely hard to write. Very hard to write something simple

Tin Pan Alley and Brill Building songwriters, as well as jazz composers. They did not sing angry songs like Just Hobbies

Ok... still by your reply you New Yorkers have a attitude No, they wrote clever, witty, some night say corny, lyrics. But lessons in economy are there, every word counted and there wasn't alot of words to work with in those short mekoduc phases. Had to pack a big punch. And rhey are called standards for a reason Yes, safe to say new workers have an attitude
