Hi everyone!
To the point:
I want freelance work to earn money. Something, ANYTHING to do with music. I can compose music, set lyrics, play piano, and use computers well...and some other stuff. I try to impro to the best of my ability but it's a bit limited (but that's a different story).
Is there any possible way a teenager like me can do freelance work when it suits me to earn some spare cash? I could handle set projects as well but it depends.
I'm basically writing this because at the moment I cannot think of hardly any possible options for no or little commitment work. My skills are flexible. I'm not asking for a job, but for ideas. So if anyone has any light to shine on the topic please reply. It will be much appreciated!

Hey, Joel, If you live in (or near) a moderately sized city, they probably have at least 1 or 2 small recording studios. Touch base with them, they may be able to use you from time to time. (Remember that Kris Kristofferson started out as a studio janitor....) Music stores, too. Even the very smallest towns I've ever lived in had at least one music store. Any local bands? Maybe you can offer something to them for a few bucks here and there. Just a couple of ideas to get your juices flowing. Joel, if you have the equipment, and are as talented as you imply, many lyricists would be willing to pay a REASONABLE fee to have you compose music for their lyrics as a work-for-hire (meaning you get no composer credit) and record the song on a CD for demo purposes. Or take a working song (vocal and melody already in place) and add an arrangement for demo purposes.
Wish I had the skills to do that myself.
