I am looking for a company to help me get some radio airplay. I've talked to a couple of people, but I'm just not sure how to KNOW if they are legit! This is what I was told: there are three main divisions or groups if you will. Radio stations will report or be a part of one of the three. They are: Billboard, R&R and Music Row. Apparently you would have to find someone who represents each of them separately. I just don't know where to look? The two people that I found both represent Music Row which is the smallest of the three. Can anyone clear up any of this for me? Do have it all wrong? Any help, suggestions, or past experience good and bad would be much appreciated. Thanks! - Angel

There are many that are "legit"if you want to spend several thousand dollars. Unless you're signed to a major label, it's unlikely you'll crack the Clear Channel-Infinity monopoly anyway. Your best bet is to buy an Indie Bible www.indiebible.com and/or Music phone book www.musicphonebook.com and seek out all the indie,college, and internet stations.
