Is the open mike on tonight?....heard something about some changes.

It is still on for tonight.
Steve Dockendorf will be hosting it tonight and Jeff Blake will be hosting it next week.
Jim Mason did a great job of hosting but due to a new job there is a time management problem.
Jim did tell me that he will be stopping by from time to time but that he just can't host it anymore.
We have to keep this open mike going!
It is a great venue and opportunity for all of us.

Come one, come all. It's not too late to sign up and get your face and music out there before the public where they belong.

Comfortable atmosphere and an easy crowd to perform for.

The open mike went real smooth thanks to Steve and the players.
A new man to the open mike is Mike Kremer who did an incredible job with Neil Young ,The Beatles,& Guy Clark.
New comers Rob & Terry also did well and will be regulars from what they tell me.
A special thanks to Colin who recorded our performances in January and gave us each a cd of it.
Thanks to everyone that came out and made Tuesday night at Fish Lips another great one.
A first for me is that I stood up & played this time and no one died.Yahoo!

Okay, looks like Jerry already said most of what I was going to. (And, as one old bass player to another, your solo performances just keep getting better.) Great to see your mom again. When is she going to sign up and pitch in?

Oh, and Jerry - great work on the sign-up sheet design. I hadn't noticed the caption by the fish logo "If I weren't fishin I'd be a musician." LOL!

Here are some pics taken at the Open Mic at Fish Lips Grill Feb 13, 2007. I'm still new to digital photos, so I can't explain the differences in size except that maybe it has to do with how they were cropped.

Jeff Blake is taking over the reins starting this Tue and I hope to see you all there supporting the performers and an establishment that is willing to be there for the local talent.

You upload your pics to the site then it assigns a graphics code to each one of your pics. You copy one of those codes and go to the reply area of the JPF forum and click on the graphics button (third from the left) above the reply data entry area. You paste the code into the dropdown dialogue space, hit OK and then the code appears in the reply area and you can type before and after each one. That's how I got the captions for each pic. I have to give credit to my lovely and talented wife for hipping me to photobucket. If my instructions are not sufficient, come over some time and I will show you.
