Hi guys. This is my first MP3 feedback post. I just finished the mix not long ago and it's pushing 3am here. I have more to say, but I'm very tired, so I'll have to add it in later. In the meantime, here is the link - let me know what you think! AnywayThank you!

Hi Jason:
Welcome to the forum....
Cool tune. Sounded very contemporary to me. Thought the arrangement and production was great. Only thing, and this is a personal preference, is I thought the vocals could be brought up just a little bit.
Thought the lyric and melody both very good...

Thank you. I wanted the vocals to sit lower in the mix (probably not that low though) because I love the musical parts. Especially the riff I wrote for the electric guitar and organ. I knew there was a danger of making them too loud because of that.
I'll definitely boost the vocals up a few dB to have them sitting better on top.

Anyway (c) 2007 Jason Allen
I hear thunder, I hear rain Our backs are turned away, anyway I'm not running, I welcome it to me It seems so strange, I like it that way
I can feel you, sitting next to me Can you hear me when I think? I'm not faking, I want you to stay But you always turn and go the other way,
Too much too shallow, I know it's often hard to follow through, With this mess, The lights are dimmer now, Why do I feel so left out?
Change
Because I will anyway.
The street lights fading, I am not afraid I like it better in gray, anyway Lines of champagne, running down the grill, Your flannel blanket, holding back the chill,
Its enchanting, nothing here for miles, It makes me feel alive, Its erasing, I cant turn away, On a street that only goes one way
Too much too shallow -
You're always on my mind, I fall time to time, With all that lies ahead, Complete but separate,
You are...you are...
Too much too shallow -

Hey Jason,
People are talking about your song! And understandably....very cool....nice way to start your hopefully-regular stay here.
Call me crazy, but something about your tune was reminiscent of Peter Frampton...that's probably way before your time...but it's all good!
Thanks for sharing, Beth (just a lyrics kinda gal!)

Hi Beth, Thank you for the complement! I was just in my back room trying out a new mix for it. I got to the mastering phase and just ruined the whole thing trying to boost the levels. Supreme squash. I'll try to post an updated version tomorrow. I'll stick around definitely. I have a large library of songs I want to share. Jason

Dingo,
Got to hear it. got to say it was one of the best demos i have heard. (i don't hear many, but yours is right up there.) if your other demos sound this good, you should not hesitate to join taxi. bear in mind things take a while. but you shouldn't have a problem. good luck, and don't forget the songwriters market, which you can buy on amazon .com.
good luck -steve

I've been getting a lot of great feedback from this song. Way noisier than any one before it, so with Steve's recommendation I decided to join Taxi. I've also stepped up my attempts to get the attention of whoever signs new acts. I'll let you know how it goes, I'm glad you like the song. I've uploaded a much better mix/master. Check it out. I think it's a big improvement from the other one. I also have new track I'm about to post. Not sure if it's as good as this one.
