Well little bro I like this one as well. No harm in doing two versions. Cannot comment on the technical aspect of reggae accents but it sounds ok to me. Not the first time that two versions of the same basic song make it. Both can stand up.

HiDee Unkie!
I'm Honored Ya Likes It, Amigo!
Think I can STILL do this Baby in a Hard Rock Mode, If-Intetrested?
(It's SUCH a "Universal" Angle...definitely worthy of Multiple Genres..heh!)
And...I still gotta make a Spare $75 before This Incident's behind me..& I can go back to Road Rage as-usual... ;-)>
Thanks Again for the Kind Visite & Words!

God Evenin' Favorite Doc!
Yeah..ya never know when Inspiration is gonna Grab Ya by The Lapels..heh-heh! (& yep, I am pretty glad I got 2 songs outta the Negative Experience. I don't USUALLY need More than One "Therapy Song" per Brush-with-the-Authorities...heh!)
Got a Good Hook this AM.."You Can't Do It ALL (But it Never Hurts to TRY)"... Now..to attempt to pen it so it doesn't sound like An Old Guy's Song... ;-)>
Hope your CD Project's doin' Wonnafully & all those new Artists are feeling Thrilled as it unfolds!
I saw a Hum-Dinger of an INTERESTING Movie last night with La Femme..."There Will Be Blood"...about the Early Days of Texas Oil Drilling..& what Makin' Multi-Millions can DO to a Person. (Including Men-of-the-Cloth!) And former farmers turned well-owners.
If nothin' else, it made me glad I'm neither Too-Rich nor Very-Religious. Starts out in 1980's...ends up in early 1930's..& I bet ya Love It!
As for "Maltreatment"...Cops are nothing much after ya been in a War Zone. At least ya can Protest a bit here in Peacetime..in 'Nam they sent ya "Further Out Front" if ya bitched too much..& eventually it got Quiet Again.
Thanks for Your Kind Visit & Comforting Words, Amigo!
Hope this is a Great Week for Ya, Doc! Big Guy-Hug, Stan

HiDee Bro Tom!
I'd LOVE to hear it..or ANY of my Babies..Blaring Away.
But, alas, I play No Instruments, no longer have time to do my own demos/or the loot for it, either.
So..these Babies are Little Intellectual Exercises...UNTIL some Kind Musico comes along & Earns Their 50%..heh!
(I ALSO love penning Words to EXISTING Music..I'll add, now that I got the Chance!)
&..Yeah, this IS a Song whose Time Has Come... (In OUR Backwater Metropolis, it's ILLEGAL to have those neat Neon Lights under your car that Kids Love...&.I can't figure out for the life of me WHY?) I remember back when I was a kid that "Blue Dot" Taillights also gotcha in-Dutch with the Law...
So Much for "Land of The Free", eh?
AM contemplating a Song titled "Everything's Against..The Law"..but that'll for sure get me on some Terrorist List..& drat, I LIKE to Fly.
Waal, I DO Thank Ya for the "Good Job"..& I'll continue tryin' Hard to be Worthy!
Best Wishes for 2008 & A Big Guy-Hug, Stan

Stan I will watch that movie.
Regarding our CD so far so good. There this one band were disbanded because one of the band mates got envious with the name written in the CD. At least this songwriters are earning from direct CD selling. We sold to them the CD in whole sale price of 2 dollars and they sell it during gigs for 5 - 10 dollars. Not bad for them. Now they can haggle their acts for a big pay in the bar because they are now professionals artist already.
And DB is still visiting our soundclick page and posting in a different name, again, and give us a thumbs down NAGGING like no commercial appeal, no hook, not good vocalist etc, etc.. I dont know whats running in this guys mind. I hope he is not crazy like suffering from Schizophrenia. Maybe I should see him and do some psychiatric evaluation. LOL. Actually hes good but his attitude we call it here "crab mentality" (where the crab in the bottom will pull down crab on the top of the pail so all of them will not escape in the container) is his way of life. I hope you get my analogy of the crab.
He is really a pain in the ass for me and add burden to my happy life because everytime he nags I have to remove it again and again. Now, I dont know now how many people who visited our site because I think only me and him are the frequent visitors.
I hope I can be like you in the midst of a problem like this one "songwriter with an attitude" I can write song.
Anyways... Just today our mixing of songs are getting better now and faster too. Before, one song will take us 1-2 day to re arrange the recorded tracks by the songwriters. Plus I learn how to use the plug ins efficiently without overworking my laptop processors.

Hey, "Crab Mentality" sounds like a Great "Jimmy Buffet" Kinda Lyric to-be-written!
CRAB MENTALITY... Pullin' Evabody Down..Back into The Pot CRAB MENTALITY... They're gonna Kill Ya When The Goin' Gets Hot!
Waal..there's da Chorus Already..heh-heh!
Ya might wanna Answer DB's Next Post with a question of What Makes HIM The World Authority? CD Sales? Fan Base? Years of Experience? His Mama LOVES his Stuff???
(I once watched Jimmy Buffett handle a Heckler...USF Sundome Concert...between songs.) The Jerk hassled him a full 15 Minutes.
JB never did have the Drunk Dude ejected...just hurled Epithets Back-&-Forth...&..EVENTUALLY, The Crowd there was willin' to Punch the Dude's Lights Out, Free-of-Charge. &..On with The Show!
So...rather than Deleting the Dude, just fire back with some "Yo Mamma Jokes" & have some FUN with the Jerk. The Wilder & Spicier it Gets, I bet the more VISITS ya get.
Geeze, with a name like "Darius Babylon" HIS Mama ALREADY Hates Him...Trust Me on that! ;-)> With such a Biblical Moniker as that, poor devil prolly has to face the Middle East 4 or 5 times a Day, prayin' NOONE ever finds out his Real Name~!
Suggest he Part The Red Sea & Then Take a Dive...heh! (Or go jump into the next Burning Bush he comes across...) ;-)>
Gawrsh, this is Too Much Fun, Doc!
Thanks for your Latest Visit...Hope maybe I've been of help, somehow! Thanks for the Hook, too...I'll work on that a bit more, maybe a Song'll come of it!
Best Wishes & a Big Guy-Hug, Stan

SOunds good with the Crabby mentality lyrics.
Lets find some tunes with that. Im back with my guitar now Im producing 1 of my tagalog song. A little inspired this week plus I downloaded the best of Jimmy Buffet and have it in my system for weeks to get the feel.
I also planning to produce one of our colaboration "This is the love song I owed you so long".
Were a little short of songs in the compilation.
Regarding your suggestion about DB let see if I cannot take it anymore. SO far his posts still entertains us. I prefer to delete his nagging at the moment.

Stan, sorry for the OT or "hijacking" on this thread. Good lyrics - I enjoy reggae and my songwriting partner actually "forced" me to write a reggae tune. I just saw my name here and feel I have to reply. I hope this Lynman Bacolor can make good on his accusations - that he proves that I am the one posting negative comments on his site. Otherwise, I will be forced to take official action. Or maybe he just can't accept negative comments. http://www.jpfolks.com/forum/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=575419&Main=68259#Post575419

Rommel Carerra aka Darius Babylon aka superpie, aka supertrain, aka tegnap, aka altadelta and I forget the last one, the one with 123.
I have a proof brother including your negative comment in one of the tagalog lyrics posted in the Philippine thread written by mr Dennis Lalata. Its better to address your comments here or in our Philippine Thread below because you can elaborate all your reason why you feel our published songs including the songs of Stan entitled "Christmas Love" doesnt have any commercial appeal to you or the singer who deliver the song is not good.
We are happy to accept the critisism as long as you give us the reasons why you feel you did not like it. The soundclick page was created so we have a venue for the songwriters friends, fans and family who bought the CD's can view the lyrics and the story behind the songs.
Seeing your comments is good just once but posting it again ang again in the different identity is not healthy for a young company like us and you are putting the company in which I am a part of in an embarrassing situation. And also same posting is statistically impossible and crosschecking with the names google it, and it all pertains to you but unfortunately you delete all of your soundclick pages the moment I found out your identity, so I will look a paranoid publisher to the folks here.
If you are not the guy who posted the negative comment, then why you remove your link in soundclick located in your signature page?
I think you did not listen and read the whole content in the soundclick page because Stan song is there and now you are here patting Stan's back. If you dont like the song there chances are you will not like this lyric either.
Heres my suggestion to you brother, why dont you stay in one name or your real name in real life not hiding in a different aliases. Dont pretend to be a superman hiding in his jumpsuit. It will help a lot especially for your musical carreer. Change your avatar also, your pics here is a little blurred.
Were all in this together.

Prove to me that I own altadelta (the original poster of the negative comment) and that one with 123. Otherwise, I will have to do something.
Again, I did not post the original negative comment. I just agreed to it. Accept the fact that you need improvement and maybe you'll feel better.
All the others are me and my bands, all bunched within my soundclick profile, which, by the way, he defamated (to get back at me because he thought I made the original negative comment). Show me where those "aliases" posted negative public comments. Otherwise, if you don't have proof, you'd better just keep your mouth shut.
Stop your baseless accusations. And try to do better detective work next time - ask for the IP addresses from soundclick if you want.
Wow. Some people can be so (@#%^%$)

HIDee Both Gents!
I Loves ya Both...seein' as how You're Musicians/I am not.
Darius, Doc's spendin' a lot of His Time & Money TRYING to get some Local Artists Launched. You're certainly entitled to offer a Critique..even a negative one. But, "Overkill" and you do your Fellow Musicians a great disservice.
I propose you guys sit down at a local bar & have a Drink On Me. (Send me the Bill, OK?) Maybe Arm-Wrestle, rather than discuss Who Did What, and have a Fun Night of It, somehow.
Life's Way-too-Short to toss ever-larger Harpoons back-&-forth.
Darius, I'm off to LISTEN to some of your Music..Sorry I whupped on ya a bit, but Doc IS one of my Friends/he sounded pretty irritated & frustrated. You do too, today. So...least I can do is Listen to What You Have to Say, & How You're Musically-Expressing It.
And remind us all that "We're in this together."
Big Guys-Hug, Ol' Stan

HiDee Darius, again.
OK, I've listened...Both are decent Pop Songs (didn't hear much Bass in the Mix, but Internet's not the greatest for hearing Completed Songs.) WISH ya'd posted Lyrics to read, since that's my Strong Suit. "Canote Song" is very pleasant to listen to, tho "Can't Get You Out of My Head" felt like The Real Title/would probably Sell It Better, too. Might shorten it by 10-15 seconds..felt just a wee-bit "long"...& closer ya have it to 3 Minutes, better your chances for Future Airplay.
"Funk U" was also a decent Pop Song, again "Sun Shines Over The Rainbow" felt like The Title here. Didn't catch the Lyrics as-well as the Previous Song...tho "Pain" didn't feel like it belonged in a song about "Sun Shining Over The Rainbow". Your Vocals were Good on both songs...Guitars decent..tho Solos needed more Pizzaz, JMO.
You sound like You're On Your Way Up. (Why create any Enemies at This Stage of The Game, I'd ask?)
I wish ya Success..& again hope You & Doc can have a Beer On Me/Patch Things Up a bit!
Best Wishes, Ol' Stan

Stan, thanks for the kind words. For me, the issue is that he's accusing me of being the original negative poster on his message board. That is untrue, and in fact, he has no proof.
What happened was that I came upon their website, saw that orginal "negative" post (believe me, the guy had some constructive criticisms) - which made me curious enough to take a listen. After listening - I posted "Amen, and better songs". That's it. After that, he posted "revenge" posts on my webpages which forced me to change usernames (on my own pages).
I'm helping him out a bit in that the best proof for him is to show that those posters and I have the same IP addresses.
I have no intention to create enemies and I've been in this business long enough to know that it's a small world - you never know who you're going to work with in the future.
Again, thank you for understanding and being a cool guy. I might be heading over to Ocala FL in a few months (summer??) and it might be nice to hook up.

Stan Happy week end... The CD's is on the way. My uncle will be leaving on monday and he will be in chicago by tuesday your time. It will take some time before it will reach your door because my brother in Arizona will mail it to you. I have some loot for your wife Lynman Rommel, YOure one of the folks here. I think the best thing to do after you hear our compilation is to adress me personally because this is unfair for the songwriters who have no access to the computers just like us to defend themselves from your "Simon say's comment, and Simon cowell attitude without the proof of success" Your "Amen and better songs" is a real stab in the back to them after they produced it in a very tight budget. I know you are an engineer by profession and I think your earning big bucks not as a musicians. Bullying will lead them to dissapointment in the music industry where the only bread and butter is to have a gig and have a good pay. Have you ever been in there shoes? You know how hard to survive this band nowadays. YOu know, their talent are being manipulated and abused by production companies here. Imagine if we include one of our song where you are the singer and the musical arranger probably your comment is different, probably a pat in the back for all of us. (Remember Cause Its Your Love by Jr Supina). How About if we consider your song "The Camote song" that sounds like "Cant get you out of my head" by Kylie Minogue. Maybe you are very happy about it and for sure you will brag it out at the success forum. I try not to reveal your identity over there well in fact all the posts are deleted to safeguard you. But I never thought you will visit our collaboration with Stan about lyric writing. That only shows you are really my stalker. Anyways I do agree with Stan suggestion lets meet sometimes and discuss your songs and our songs. Hope we can settle our fight through thumb wrestling. Lynman Lynman

Hi Again, Mes Amis!
I'm glad ya both seem to be gettin' Back to The Biz of MUSIC again!
JMO, but Lawyers have kinda Ruined the Fun of all this Creativity, & I hope ya got your Wrists (&-or) Thumbs back-in-shape & get back to The Next Song again, real soon!
Ya Both know the Door's Open here in Tampa, & I know of a great little Country Bar where the Amberbocks roam & the Mexicans Play.
I gotta scoot..I'm Hopin' to gather-in the Loot I need today to pay off this rotten Ticket I acquired for "Inspiration" on this Little Number..& get back to "Normal Life".
Peace, Bros...it's the Real Thing!

Stan Wow, he has no proof yet that I am the original "critic" and the other posters. So it's just an outrageous claim, just like this one, falsely claiming in the thread title that Brian was in the Philippines: http://www.jpfolks.com/forum/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=530640&page=7#Post530640If he can prove that I am the other "critic", I will gladly apologize, and drink (yellow liquid waste) and eat (gooey brown stuff). Just the FACTS : - someone listened to their songs, didn't like them, made comments - I listened, agreed with the first listener - another one listened, didn't completely like them So, there are at least 3 people who don't like their music. So what? It's the end of the world? There are 4 billion people out there who DON'T like MY music - should I build a bomb and nuke them all? STAN, PLEASE tell this guy to accept negative comments. Wow, 3 negative comments, a wrong conclusion; and this guy sullies my websites, makes libelous statements, and sends me a threatening email? I won't waste my time arguing anymore. Certainly not with someone prone to making false statements. To Mr. Bacolor : I don't want to have anything to do with you or your organization. But if I find out that you're still making false accusations, threatening statements and libelous statements - my lawyers will be in contact.

G'Mornin' Brother D!
I'm Sympathetic, Amigo..& DO understand. (And yep, I've had some Dandy Negativity come my way over the last 25+ years!)
HOPEFULLY Both You Nice Folks CAN get this Incident behind yas & go on to make Beautiful Music..(Maybe In Spite of "Who Started it"?)
(I got a big chuckle out of "There are 4 billion people out there who DON'T like my music"...{maybe you're bein' a bit Harsh on Yourself...I'm certainly NOT among Your Critics.})
Anyways, I reflected a Bit on Things Yesterday, & came up with a Song title "End Game"..at Board 3. Sort of an Older Guy looks back on The Music Career...(such as it is)..& TRIES to make Others See the Positive Side of "The Struggle"...
Hopefully Both you guys'll NOT make the Lawyers a penny-richer...(they're kinda the Reason this Biz ISN'T the Fun Ride-to-Riches it USED to be...for the Talented Kids with The Garage Band..of Not So Long-Ago.)
Has any brilliant Entrepeneur come up with a T-Shirt that says "Make Music, Not War" yet?
Best Wishes Back to Both Of Yas, Big Guys Hugs, Stan

For Christ sake chaps stop acting like kids,
If he dont like stans songs or his voice that's okay it's just his opinion.
He may be right who cares I'm sure Stan dont care , he's easy going, and an all around nice guy.
Dont get worked up over opinions or someone hiding behind Loads of names.
Spend your time writing and improving not slagging each other
Martt Stoneham.
Without the right music your clever lyrics will never be heard, if you want success be prepared to re write many times and even change the meter you chose originally
