Hi Kaley....just as cute as can be. I think you have a real knack for children's songs. Just a couple of things I might change for "flow"....which we both know I am no expert on....I'd say "Dapper Danny Ducky" and "Franny Froggy" or "Fannie Froggie"....but that's JMO...for what it's worth.

Hi Kaley, I think you should be doing something serious with your cute kids songs, you do them so well. What about a CD for use in pre-schools etc.? Anyway, keep writing them, they're great. Happy writing in 2001.

this is such a great ditty. would this line fit in better, in the chorus?: "splash the water, it's gone" instead of turn your head, it's gone

Lovely song, Kaley. I thoroughly enjoy your children's songs. Just a thought, which isn't a nit-pick, honest: I wonder if you could make more of the fact that they're all actually arguing over who is portrayed in the pond? You know, taking it in turns to look and saying "it isn't you...it's me" (only in a way that fits into the song, of course). It doesn't actually need it though.
Ron.

Hi Alysia and Ron..I was super surprised ...to see this on the board...was gonna shut this computer off and since i had not been able to access anything in two days...I said.one little peek 'for I go to sleep won't hurt me...well...I think both of your ideas are neat...but I know my brain will be working much better in the morning...so I will look at them closer in the morning. THANK YOU for pulling these up and commenting... When I am seriously ready to do somethin with my kid stuff...I think I will post it for a last look so you guys can help me with a last look... ![[Linked Image]](http://www.justplainfolks.org/ubb/smile.gif) Kaley........

very cute! I agree with Sunny that Franny should be changed to Fannie. Also, the repetition of the "Reflection..Reflection A picture in the pond...." is a good thing. Kids love repetition in songs.
Fun song!

I didn't join JP Folks till 2003 or 2004, so I completely missed this one. Glad someone resurrected it!!
"Grits is one of those country-boy words that is both singular and plural-like deer, elk and sheep. I think the singular is appropriate when there's a modifier that makes it clear one is talking about something specific. Like, 'Grits are good for you, but these here grits is tasty.'"~~Joe Wrabek
