Does anyone know about or recommend either of these sites? http://www.muzlink.com/http://www.ubl.com (ultimate band list) They appear to be 2 more of those free artist community/promotion type sites but I don't want to just join every site in existence anymore unless I think there will be a good reason for doing so. As always, your input is greatly appreciated.

Looking at them just now, they seem to have similar functions. They list links to bands and artists organized by genre. If they're free, and you have the time, I can't see how they'd hurt. Read through the terms, of course.
If they're free and have no encumbering agreements or terms, I can't see how they'd hurt. If you sell one cd, or get one lifelong fan, they're worth the time.
You've got to know your limitations. I don't know what your limitations are. I found out what mine were when I was twelve. I found out that there weren't too many limitations, if I did it my way. -Johnny Cash It's only music. -niteshift Mike Dunbar Music

Just lately I feel like a bit of a web-whore being on all these sites. And some have not brought me sales or true fans (like musicfreedom). But you do have a good point.

Some of the best exposure I have gotten on the web is through CD Baby. Is your music on CD Baby? They have a great program for digital distribution. My songs are on 43 sites- including iTunes -- and it is all set up by CD Baby.... I have sold FAR more downloads than I have CD's...but both have sold more on CD Baby than anywhere else on the web! Good luck Emily
