I have been writing for over 30 years but never really thought I had anything special to offer. I would always be awed by the talent of other writers and never thought I could ever measure up. This past winter, on a whim,I entered one of my songs in the JPF song contest. The song never placed, but I got an email from the judges telling me "this song is radio ready" and encouraging me to do something with it. Due to that encouragment, I started pitching the song and within 2 weeks got an offer for a contract, which I signed this week. That song will be recorded in Nashville on Nov 10 by Britsh singing star Gary Curtis! ALL BECAUSE SOMEONE ON THE JPF BOARD TOOK THE TIME TO OFFER ME SOME ENCOURAGEMENT! I will not only be forever grateful to JPF, but I have made it my mission to "pass this forward" and be an encouragement to someone else. My life will never be the same and I am having the absolute time of my life! Thank you JPF!
