Has anyone heard from Michelle today? I hear it's rough in Victoria with the wildfires. I think she lives in the Bendigo or Ballarat area??

I have heard from her several times today. They are fine. The rest of the neighborhood is gone, but they are okay.

Saw your Update in the SHOUT Box, Mz Michel...Real Glad to hear your place's Intact & you've made it through This Year's Brushfires! (I know it's an Annual Thing...they were having some when I did my R&R in Sydney back in '69 & the plane flew over 'em just prior-to-landing...Scary/Waxy Haze all over the place, all 10 days I visited.)
Hard to picture anyone Deliberately-Setting some of this year's fires...but...Pyros inhabit The Planet, I guess. Hopefully they'll get caught/do a long stretch..in a prison nearest the more-flammable brush, too...heh!
My Prayers go with yas...& hope The Rains come early this year!

Dear Michele, from all accounts it appears you and your family are safe and we are thrilled to know that beyond words. I know your heart is breaking to look around you at all the devastation but remember, this is the time you must be looking up. Be brave for your family, girl. It is heartbreaking to know how bad this really must have been... and that it will take so long to recover from it. Sometimes, bad things happen to good people. I am praying for the best and we hope to hear from you when time permits.

You are definitely in our thoughts and prayers. My cousin's daughter just arrived two days ago in Brisbane for a semester abroad....so her family is all worried, needless to say.
I cannot imagine how scary your situation was and continues to be. The only silver lining I can eke out of it is more fodder for songwriting. Even before this horrible tragedy, in many ways you are already like the Phoenix -- and once again, you and the rest of your countrymen shall rise from the ashes and persevere.

Please know that there are a lot of prayers going up for you and your countrymen. What a devastating and heartbreaking situation...especially knowing that some of these fires were deliberate. If I could...I would send you some rain also.

It sure is hot in Australia, God made and man made. It looks very scary, stay as far away from that fire as possible. And they say it might be set deliberately, someone must be crazy.
