Thanks, Scott. It's definitely Southern Gothic. I tried it several different ways. Had another layer of watercolor over it-got both developed and decided to use just the b&w/color effects for the contest, even though the extra layer of watercolor over it didn't look too bad. Love the effect it gave the trees. Wish I could have figured out how to just do the tree, bushes that way only and leave the rest the way it was. I learn something new each time I use Photoshop.

Thanks, Ms. Jean. On this one, it's just the b&w/with the spot of color. I will have to post the one with the watercolor. There's not a whole lot of difference except the details are sharper without the watercolor effect.

Very little difference, really. For the photo contest, I wanted to use the one with more detail.

Thanks, Calvin. It does look spooky. The old girl once had alot of charm, though. Seems like such a shame to let beautiful old buildings deteriorate like that.

I like old buildings. Too bad there aren't some old castles around for you to photograph. One of the extended family is taking their last year of college in England. Heck, they have buildings over there older than our "country"

I may be going to San Franscisco with my brother in the Spring, Wy. That's the lastest plan, anyway. I'll have plenty of photo ops while there, I'm sure. Planning to rent a car and driving to a redwood forest/NP. Not sure which one. I was reading about them the other day. There's one near Big Sur which will be the closest, I think.
