Hi Everyone. I dont know if anyone can help. My latest song demo, I am 100% happy with, except. The drums sound wrong to my ears. almost like a nagging click. Is it my hearing? http://soundclick.com/share?songid=8392396Can anyone redo the drum track for me. I will have have the song in protools within the next week, so I can remove the drum track or insert a file with new drum sound in mp3 or wave. As I am not amusician, I have no idea myself. It would have to be exactly in sinc with the existing track as I don't have the skill to make sure that it lines up exactly. May be better not to have the drums. any help appreciated Roy

Could you elaborate a little? Do you want real drums or someone to compile a sampled track to accompany this? The drums although basic seem OK on this demo.

Yes it is a demo Jim. Maybe its just my hearing. I think if the concensous it that the drums ar Ok, then I may leave them. I have songs with 'high hats' in the drums and they just irritae me. I dont mind sample or real. These just sound 'fake' to me.
maybe they are too high in volume.

It may be down to taste Roy but for a demo they sound OK and balanced to me. If it is bothering you then ask for a different kit or sound. It is an easy fix for the studio who did the demo. They will have the masters and a tweak is quick. They will have a huge arsenal of samples and kits to choose from. I must admit I like the sound of a live drummer but it is so expensive these days and studios tend to use high end loops and samples as per this demo.

Thanks Jim. I think thats Ok. Its good to have a second opinion.
I will see if I can get used to it. Mind you I have only listened on my PC speakers.

Try headphones preferably without bass boost.....they make listening to demos easier. I have a few sets plus various monitors. Most music producers like to listen to stuff on a wide variety of speakers just to check balances and eq etc.
