Just Another Woman in Love.....love her delivery...reminds me of Bonnie Raitt.....Ricki never fails to please with her cool vocal sounds and unique styling. And I might add....one of the nicest ladies on these boards....on an even par with her great talents.
Always love hearing your songs, Ricki....my northern neighbor.

Well, I'm certainly biased regarding Ricki, since she has been generous enough to collab with me on more than one occasion. Our songs aside, (EASY PLUG FOLLOWING): "Quite An Impression" http://soundclick.com/share?songid=7874885, "This Side of the Aisle" http://soundclick.com/share?songid=8033993 , "Change in the Weather" http://soundclick.com/share?songid=7826206 , "When I Whisper" -- co-written by the amazing Kristi McKeever -- http://soundclick.com/share?songid=7567845 , and "Garden of Little White Lies" -- originally musicated by Little Stevie B! -- http://soundclick.com/share?songid=7562154 , there are still sooo many good ones to choose from. I guess the one which I always come back to is "Frozen Heart" http://soundclick.com/share?songid=6709671 . It's so friggin' poignant! Others faves would have to be "Until Now" http://soundclick.com/share?songid=7161484 , "He Rides" http://soundclick.com/share?songid=6510687 , and "Your Wild Oats" http://soundclick.com/share?songid=7565985 . Tied with two other women whom I won't name (they should know who they are ), Ricki is my favorite female artist here. I'd been waiting for this thread, Dan -- thanks! And Limey, keep up the good work! Look forward to working with you again. Feel free to take a gander at my latest lyric on Lyric 3 "A Place For Love", see if it tickles your fancy .... xoxox, Boo

Somebody talking about me? Hey Dan, thanks a heap for the recognition. I can't name my own favorite song but Blue Sky Rain has a special place in my heart since that title came from my hubby. Lynn: What an eclectic choice you've made. "Deep and raw". Hope I can continue to live up to that. Thanks Glyn: Thanks for all the support. You're a sweetheart. Randy: Thanks for putting my version alongside the demo, even if we know it doesn't belong there! Neighbor Jan: Thanks for the Bonnie Raitt thing, she's awesome. And for all your support in the past. Beth: Really? People are going to think I'm paying you! Good to see you posting. I hope this means you're on the mend?

My favorite Ricki song is He Rides. I also like Don't Pet the Python, Are You Sure, and many more. I've really enjoyed just about everything she's done.

I am not too good at "favorites", but I gotta say that I really like Ricki's style and her writing is quite excellent all the time. I am going to have to investigate her back catalog a little before I come up with a favorite (so much to listen to and so little time!).

I've said it before and I'll say it again....listening to Ricki sing is like eating Godiva chocolates. She has a smooth, beautiful voice and an extremely clever way with lyrics.

Wendy: You were so encouraging when I first started posting, really made me feel welcome. Thanks for that and all your support since then. Calvin: Who you calling a lady? Why did I know you were going to say Don't Pet the Python? Kevin: Don't think too hard on it you might sprain something! Polly: Stop enabling me! I'm a chocoholic! Thanks all of you. It's wonderful to have such a great support system! Ricki

LOL - another impossible choice to make Ricki has a distinctive sound, alright - you can tell right away it's her - though every song is unique. And it's a really great sound too! I'd classify many of her songs as favorites - but I have a special place for "He Rides" - which may have been the first song she posted here. Yeah, that one - and "Ordinary Woman" Scott

Hi Scott, Thanks for weighing in on this ego expanding thread! He Rides was my first mp3 post, about 2 years ago. What a long strange trip this has been, eh? I keep going back to that song as well, but I'd hate to think I'll never write anything that good again. Ordinary Woman is going to be the name of my first "real" CD, if it ever comes to that. I even have a picture picked out for it. Hey, we all need a dream. Ricki

Hi Shirley,
Thanks for taking time to contribute to this thread. I'm working to improve my vocals, though do not consider myself a singer, but thanks for the compliment.

Well, I'm a big fan of "No Way to Lose"...but the first listen of "He Rides" sold me on Ricki Bellos. She really brings a song, every time. Once you hear her press Record, and she starts singing, it's like the song itself takes over, and her voice just paints the pictures. "Goddess of the Night" is one of the coolest listens of all: http://soundclick.com/share?songid=7554301What makes me happiest is that Ricki is a really nice, funny, caring person, and one of my favorite internet friends. Long may she practice her art, because there aren't enough Rickis in the world...although I do realize how alarming that could also be.

Hi Mark, "What makes me happiest is that Ricki is a really nice, funny, caring person" HA-HA!!! Got you fooled! Hey, thanks for taking time for this thread. Since you haven't been around much I was surprised you even knew about those songs. I'm glad you do, and that you like them, although I can't take credit for Goddess. I just musicated Wyman Griffith's lyric but it felt like something I SHOULD have written. "Not enough Rickis in the world"...Yeah, that would be scary. Ricki
