Very descriptive but I've tweaked it with more, keep or sweep The poundin of a hammer got made me jump outta bed On a day I planned on sleepin in Then halfway through my shower the water turned ice cold I thought oh boy here we go again Grabbed my Sunday mornin paper its overflowin with bad news But I wont let the world's troubles of the outside world hurt change my point of view Chorus: Cause I know somethin goods gonna happen today I can feel it in my bones its just a stones throw away When I really believe it I get up every mornin look in to the mirror and say Somethin good gonna happen, somethin good gonna happen Verse: I used to walk a-round town with my head hangin down Hopin that my lousy luck would change I nailed a horse shoe to my door wished on a fallin star Threw pennies in a well everyday But superstition never worked so I figured I had nothin to lose By I reachin reached deep inside me my soul to find a whole new attitude Bridge: When Since I found a new way of thinkin everything started goin my way Life gets easier when you say
I usually start with a title or maybe a little rhyme or phrase. - Harlan Howard

Hi David,
I do like this, as I expected I would. I expected to see "today" at the end of the chorus;
Chorus: Cause I know somethin goods gonna happen today I can feel it in my bones its just a stones throw away When I really believe it I get up every mornin look into the mirror and say Somethin good gonna happen, somethin good gonna happen TODAY
I will be looking forward to hearing this.:)

"If you are stuck in your musical composing, be unreasonable. Change your environment. If you are stuck in your lyrical efforts, instead of forcing the same old words out, force yourself to do unreasonable things." -Brian Austin Whitney
