Okay, so this is a vide and not an mp3, but the function of the recording is the same -- just a basic recording of a (nearly) complete song. I know that this one needs a little work on the arrangement. And, as to the lyrics: I will post them when I can. But, for now, I would love some feedback on this tune that came tumbling out of me last night. My first new tune in more than 3 years! "I Got Nuthin'" Thanks!

Todd,
I think the vid should end with us getting handed lunch, we don't even know what she is making!!! LOL!!!
And for those of us teaching ourselves how to play guitar, thank you for showing a close up of you playing, I paid close attention.
Hope you can post the lyrics, unless you think they are a whole lot of "nuthin"....LOL!!
I thought the song had a great, upbeat sound and is certainly a keeper, I like how you ended it because I was waiting for a little change and you did it.
Nice song.
Tammy

Hi Todd, I enjoyed seeing your performance. You remind me a lot of ADAM SANDLER, I've been meaning to tell you that. Calvin http://www.soundclick.com/bands/0/calvinstewart

Unfortunately, I listen under headphones and it was clipping and crackling so I didn't make it very far. But what I heard did sound good. Did that clock say 9am -- and you are having lunch???

It was 9 p.m. and we were making lunches to take to work/school the next day. And, sorry about the sound. I just used the built-in cam on my wife's computer to record directly to YouTube.

Hi Todd I'm addicted, I just love the Hook, and loved watching you singing it on the video, well done hah. Very Catchy, it's stuck in my head. Way to go, I'm a fan! Hugs Michele

hi, i read and commented on this lyric today and i had nothing critical to say, and i got nothing critical to say on this either,(i would put a smily face here if i knew how.) i will say that i agree with calvin, you have a real adam sandler look which is too cool. but the song is very good and worth perfecting in my opinion. if it was me i would have made the song morbidly depressing(not a good thing) but you have taken this very sad story and made it upbeat so that while listening i did not really feel any negativity or a downer.good work.

Sounds like "nuthin" has turned into "somethin"!! So glad your writer's block has been "popped". Yeah a toss between Adam Sandler and Billy Joel Three years..wow... lots of catching up to do but enjoy every moment!! Best, Lynn

So, I played this to a live audience for the first time last night -- at an open mic in the Chicago area -- and it got a pretty good response. At least good enough to keep working on it. Folks were smiling and bobbing their heads. And I think that a few of them even stopped talking!
