Hello I am new to this site and just want to introduce myself to the Portland Chapter. I am the drummer for The Bill Moore Band and also play guitar and write lyrics. I have a background in Video Production, Photography and Graphic Arts. I will be posting some lyrics soon for feedback. I don't get on the net too often so if you send me a message please be patient your input is important to me. Thanks

Hi,
Good to see there is an intro thread here--
I am from Vancouver, WA, but often go to Portland for music events. Am a songwriter, fairly new to learning about the music industry and just beginning to try out some open mics.
I play piano and guitar, also some misc other instruments like recorder, xylophone.
Am interested in getting song feedback through the forums; it's always good to get LOTS of opinions-- I'm a NSAI member, and also am a part of SongU.

Good starting an intro thread. Nice to "see" y'all.
Joe here. 61 (old enough to know better), and one of these days I'll be able to play guitar decently--I keep working at it. I play in two bands, both on the Oregon Coast, where I live. And I write stuff (the bands play my stuff). Happy, upbeat, uptempo songs about death, lost love, betrayal, religion, and dead animals. Just released an album--first since 2005--Dead Things in the Shower.
Would be neat to meet all of you at some point--90 miles isn't too far away, and I do get into Portland now and then (mostly to play music).
