Hi all I posted a video on Youtube so that some of the guys in my Bowling club can see it. Many had been asking where they could see the thing. I have not got the time to burn it on DVD and give them all a copy.
Now it is on Youtube they cannot find it without an exact link.
I tried myself by typing in the title and other relevant info or keywords but it does not come up using the search engine.
Any help would be appreciated.

It was written by me and features me and some pals clowning around at our Bowling Club smoker night......a lesson in overacting and a good laugh.

I might know someone but unfortunately she has a penchant for garlic ... and come to think of it I don't think she's a real virgin anyway

Did not know you had met my wife....she loves garlic and is all but a virgin.

It can take a day or two for YouTube to index new videos for its search engine.

So Jim are you in the sketch? And when across the pond you say "bowling" is that the same as the usa- knock down 10 pins and a 300 is a perfect score? Or is it something else?

I play Igor in the sketch........Our bowls is completely different from tenpin although that is popular here also.... We play on grass or sometimes indoor on a huge artificial lawn or carpet. It is a very popular sport in the UK and Australia and a few other countries but although played in one or two places is all but forgotten in the States.....the top competitions here are televised and have a huge following. There are more clubs and more people play bowls than soccer. Here is a link to a short video explaining the basics.

They play it around the corner from me at a local watering hole. They play under the lights too. On match nights they pack em in.

That is interesting Rick...I wonder why Bowls has not caught on so much on your side of the pond as it has here......In the UK Bowls is by far the biggest competetive participant sport. There are more registered bowlers than there are footballers or golfers. In Edinburgh there are just under 60 clubs all with a membership of around the 100-200 mark (over 9000 bowlers in total) and every town and village of note in Scotland has at least one bowling green.

It is a great sport demanding much skill and is suitable for all ages. It is one of the few sports where men can compete against women and boys compete against men on equal terms. Most clubs I know offer fantastic facilities and social activities outside bowls.....Most clubs have a bar and large function hall where bands and cabaret acts can perform....I rely on them a lot for gigs.

This is completely OT but since you guys were discussing it, is Lawn Bowling the same as the Italian Bocci Ball? (Forgive me if I have misspelled it.)

From an historical viewpoint, I'm told that lawn bowling was once very popular here in the colonial territories, hence the name "Bowling Green" for several towns and U.S. small cities.

Wow, I'm glad I asked. We know football in the usa is not football in the UK. That version of bowling looks like fun.

As for the sketch, I thought you might have been Igor. Do they call you Big Jim because you are big, Jim? How tall are you?

I am around 6' 4 inches....but old age (58) has lost me a couple of inches.

Lawn bowling has a coupe of formats but is different to the Italian thing or French Boulle games.

In our game Flat Lawn Bowling the green is divided into strips called rinks and is a bit like Curling played on grass except the target is a little ball called a jack and it can be struck or moved.
Crown green bowling is also popular in England and is similar excpet it is not played on strips but uses the whole green and the Jack is larger and has a bias.

Bowling is steeped in history and has been popular for many centuries. Rumour has it that Sir Francis Drake would only go and chase the French Armada after he had completed his bowling match.

I have been playing since I was a young teenager and play to a pretty good competetive standard......I am also an official coach....and helped write the Scottish Bowls Coaching manual....sadly my music has interfered with my bowls and I have maybe not spent as much time as I would like on the greens.
