happy you can still do some music Johnny... it's good you're posting!
<img src="http://images.paraorkut.com/img/pics/glitters/p/purple_stars-2546.gif" alt="purple stars" />
It's a great rewrite! I think I like both versions... it could be an interesting duet actually.. in a musical somewhere... where the guy is saying "Let me be your whiskey shot" and the girl returns (the original version) an "Oh yeah RIGHT...!"
:-) Just thinking out loud!

Nice one, John - I like this lyric much better. Previous one was cute but this one is more classic sounding. Is something McCartney might have done. Scott P.S. Well, the Rays are gone but Go Phils!

Linda,,,so you like sniffin glue, do you?! LOL
Thanks for your time and comments.
Stan,,,whoa,,,Mamma Cass! Thanks!!!!
Scott, WHOA!,,,The Master?....Not worthy, for he has a better track record. Like 50 million of them! IN just ten years! LOL
But thanks!!! Rooney and Caro helped, remember.
This is just a rough demo, thrown together today, and it was hard to listen to myself sing after recording all the music over again, everything. (OUCH)! Literally. I'll be off from doing any music for a few days, unless studio work calls. Cindy needs something I bet! $$$. Hate not being able to tune. Tried one Friday. Still lightheaded and terrible piercing ringing since, with it way higher than "normal bad". Today wasn't smart of me to do this song. But I had to try to get it done before the glue cured! LOL
McCartney....You're funny. He would have had a nicer recording! Ha!

Hi Johnny. This is great. I like what you did to change the lyric. Production and arrangement are perfect. Catchy as all get out.

Nicely chorded and arranged. It has that old time feel to it. The mix (new one--didn't listen to the old one) is a bit bright. Kick/bass need more oomph but nice work nonetheless.

A great retro feel to this. Almost Beatlesque. Well produced. Well sung. I could hear it thru a megaphone 30's/40's style. lol

Zeek Yeah,, with no bass in there, I thought not to have the kick be more low end, to keep it thin, and have the emphasis be on the melody and the sound of the honky-tonk piano. But I know what you mean. Thanks I have a version with a bass part and the bass drum that has more lows. But it took away from the feeling I felt in the thinner one as is. That Victrola sound of not having big bass sounds I guess.

Got me dancing too! Seat-dancin! When driving a car with my kids in the back, I used to "shoulder-dance" for them! My daughter, now 35, does that now for her kids! Music's on and just your shoulders move to the music. LOL Thanks

You guys love this old style? Check out Iggy's Coochie Koo! He also adds some cool Beatles classic old sounds, to go with it all. Wish I wrote and came up with his song! But glad it was HIM that did it anyway. I mean,,,if going to be outdone, (which he wasn't trying to do), I'm just glad it was Iggy doing it! So, check out "Coochie Koo" on this board, by Iggy. You too Brian!
