The Predators looked good last night in taking on Detroit. Especially Rinne who is as good a goaltender as anyone in the NHL this year.
I see them going deep into the playoffs this year...11 more and they'll be contending for it all.
And as Toronto is out of it once again, I'm rooting for them.

Nice to hear that, John. The Preds looked good last night, but Detroit got that late score and moved within one to tie then ended with a power play, just couldn't get the biscuit in. And that was on our home ice. It will be interesting, though, they are playing like a team.

And now they have Detroit on the ropes....
Man they look good. But then Detroit seems to be doing dumb things, or giving them lots of respect.
Nashville's second goal was indicative of that. The leading forward drew three Detroit players with him into the corners, and Howard went partially as well, leaving Klein wide open with an open net to shoot at.

And they did it...in fine fashion I might add. I think Legwand was right. They no longer see themselves as inferior to\in awe of teams like Detroit, which gives them a huge dose of confidence.
Now, if I am right, they get Phoenix next, assuming The Desert Dogs get by Chicago. The Blues should get by San Jose, and they will face LA, who will take down Vancouver.

So far so good in forecast. Now I think the Blues should get by LA. They have a great team this year. Tonight we'll see if those pesky Coyotes will have Blackhawk stew... No matter, I think the Preds are ready for whoever survives and this will set up an absolute classic western final.

Dogs one in overtime. Did not see the game but another overtime game in an NHL postseason record setting number of overtime games and series...
Blues currently ranked as mostly likely to win the cup in a ranking I saw that I mostly agree with except I do like the Preds...
Philly and New Jersey and Rangers Caps means nothing to me except one will face the western finalist...Go Preds Go!
