Tammy and Vic, You two really locked in on the John and June Carter Cash vibe! The only things missing were the scratches and hisses from those old Johnny Cash records. This one could have made the playlist on any of those old country and western music stations on the AM dial that I used to listen to after midnight when the signal from as far away as Nashville and Memphis reached Michigan. The last set of verses you two traded were particularly well-written. Just darn good writing.
Of course the singing and playing were of your usual professional standards. Good job all around.!

I do understand your point, that line is supposed to mean "There's something in your eyes that I will not understand unless you talk to me (or tell me)"
I wonder if "can't" is a better choice which would mean, "there is something in your eyes that I can not understand unless you tell me."

wow, am I late discovering this treasure? this is so good I can hardly tell - just amazing. the hardest thing in my opinion is to sing a simple and pure lyric like this, but you're so natural in this duet that it rings true as true gold, and gives deep emotions. davvero bravissimi, siete un duo perfetto!
