I originally wrote this song as a possible pitch to Tim McGraw, unfortunately that has not happened yet, but I think it would also work for Blake Shelton, Keith Urban and several other current artists. I am still tweaking the lyrics and may make a few subtle changes. Thanks for listening! http://frettie.com/track_detail/2212

Morning, Marvin:
Do we ever stop "tweaking"... LOL! I often listen to my recordings late at night while I attempt to drop off to sleep... (sorta singing myself to sleep) and I'll sit straight up and wonder... "Why did I do it that way?" That's what song-writers do... and I don't know how many "cuts" I've made on several of my songs just trying to get it perfect... but for me, it never happens. They are never good enough! My Pandora's Curse!
I liked what I heard but thought it sounded a bit "Nashville Today"... and I dwell in "The Nashville of Yesterday." McGraw would be about right for it but don't rule out Toby Keith. He has more artistry hidden beneath that hulking Oklahoma frame of his than most artists today.
As always, I wish you success in getting this into the right hands. You are one talented songwriter, my Kansas friend.
Regards, ----Dave

Real pretty song Marvin. Nicely executed too.
The up-beat, mood, banjo and vocal range all sound Keith Urban to me. Reminds me of "Somebody Like You."
