Japov,
Definitely a mid 80's rock feel for me. I enjoyed it, cool profound lyrics too. I would guess from your opening statement that you've gone back on some older recordings and tweaking the productions--I like the driving vibe, but feel the vox might feel a bit dry--maybe add a little reverb and delay there? Not sure, but I think with this heavier rock vibe the vox should feel less out front in the mix. Nice work, and I like the vocal attitlude.

Yea, I'm thinking I hit the DeSer a little too hard on this.... One day I'll get it right, I've only been at it since the 70's lol. Thanks Eddie

A rocking, counseling plea for another to find God and forsake the path to peridition. Love the power in the music and the strong, expressive vocals. we all battle such demons that infiltrate our souls and poison our lives with sulferous utterings and brimstones that pummel us. Well Done but then that is your true genre.

Hi Tony,
Very interesting mashup of Praise & Worship and Grunge and Goth Metal. I hear strains of Minuteman and Type O Negative, but your style is singular, make no mistake about that!
Your vocals are better than you think. You sing with plenty of emotion and that makes me overlook any imperfections.
I think the lyric works best without the "breaking news" bridge getting so detailed though it is a contrast to the more abstract lyrics in the verses and chorus. What I should say is the bridge didn't work for me, cuz it was too specific--but clearly makes this a kind of darkly Biblical piece, which is a cool thing.
Mike

Yea', I was definitely trying to get "IN YOUR FACE" with this one. This was actually written back when ISIS was still putting out videos.... Thanks Mike!

JAPOV,
Yeah, really classic 80's goth metal sound to this one . . . I think the vocal is strong, working well with the production, but Eddie has some nice suggestions for you to consider.. Lyrics fit the genre hand in glove. Lots of folks would eat this tune up. Good stuff!
My best to you,
Deej

Not my genre, but as an old rocker, I enjoy the guitar work and the feel of the music. Nice execution.
ps...Am originally from Birmingham. One of my best friends from childhood lives in Huntsville. Do you live near there?

crickets because nobody here is into metal, that I know of. I like a very select bit of metal, but not much either.
This is not garage rock like its labelled, this is Metal.
I think you got a great guitar riff, a good attitude going. You have a cream/clapton sounding voice, it sounds good for the style, but could using some pitch fixing, preferably by doing it over and nailing the pitch, or the dreaded auto tune.
I enjoyed listening, sounds aggressive.

Martin Small world lol. I'm originally from Birmingham, and just retired in S Decatur... Just a skip away from Huntsville. In fact, Huntsville is the nearest Guitar Center

Not to sound like a broken record, but not my genre either. Not a metal fan. That being said, much respect for the guitarring. Excellent riffing. Vocally, I thought it was good, as well. I thought the timing got a bit lost vocally though, in the transition to the chorus which I presumed was the "your eyes" "your fight" part. Excellent production Coming through crystal clear which I imagine is a bit of a difficult task in metal tunes.

Wow.... Have I really graduated from rock to full on metal lol? If I could, I would put together a band somewhere between Tom Petty and Alice in Chains! Thanks Dave!

Hi Tony,
Your guitar playing in this is excellent. Really hard rock and kinda dark. Okay though for this type of song. Since I am a woman I guess I prefer my rock a little softer, but hard rock "wakes up the dead" and since I have been sleepy for days this woke me up!
