I'm here for a reason To forecast God's season And remove the blinds From the eyes of the Woke
Those who won't listen Ignore all good reason Momentarily content Within Satan's yoke
Justify disaster Call progress your master Let the will of the mob Be your voice
Claim pride if you can But soon understand Be a servant or slave Free will is a choice
If life is duality And excuse is morality Then mortality is balance And death evens all odds
So the gift of eternity Eclipses maternity And cannot be earned Since perfection is God's
Yes, I know the reason For this hateful season...

I liked this, although I would have dropped the first two verses and started with the third. I like the last two lines and would have used them with this variation:
I know it's the season For hateful reasons...
Between these two verses: Free will is a choice / If life is duality
That's as much damage as I can do for now... Nice work! -Mike

Well... I had hoped to illustrate how simply acknowledging truth can give one's life a sense of meaning and purpose. But, you're probably right. What's the point of aggravating those who believe truth is relative?

Personally, I'm more concerned with the intention behind what is said. Ex: Is someone being truthful to hurt someone or to help?

Then, of course... comes the question of whether or not such consideration should be applied both ways...
I always try to discern intent in what people say as well. In fact, I find that to be a great source of inspiration.

Reading this makes me want to be more sensitive and compassionate. Yet while it's a good way to be, some folks with those traits tend to get taken advantage of too easily in all sorts of ways. The last line reminds me of the classic line from the classic song "Turn, Turn, Turn".
A time for love, a time for hate A time for peace I swear is not too late
This time the war seems to be more from within than from without.

All I know for certain is, when it's over, all we take with us is our integrity... which, of course, is worthless.

Integrity is the best baggage...
