https://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=14241325Vic composed the music, Geneva and I did the lyric. I always liked Vic's chorus in this song and like the previous song with the duo Chelsow I felt a female voice in the harmony would once again work well. The instrumentation is sparse we know and will hopefully be addressed soon. Please have a listen John TAKE A LOOK AT ME NOW ฉ 2021. Vic Arnold. John Vaughan. Geneva Griffin V1 It's all over now, nothing left to do I just want to say, one more goodbye to you Take one long look, it's the last you'll see Till he hurts you, like you hurt me C Take a look at me now for the last time. There's no turning back, no more to say And if the day should come that you change your mind Take a good ... long ... look ... as I walk away V2 What happened, to I love you forever and nothing else matters, if we're together? Or there's nothing, I wouldn't do for us How could you, fall in and out of love Ch Take a look at me now for the last time. There's no turning back, no more to say And if the day should come that you change your mind Take a good ... long ... look ... as I walk away Inst Br. A last kiss as soft as a sigh, chance to look into your eyes I can read them like a book, thats something you can't disguise Ch Take a look at me now for the last time. There's no turning back, no more to say And if the day should come that you change your mind Take a good ... long ... look ... as I walk away

Really nice song, great harmony. I think more instrumentation would really add to its potential.
thats something you can't disguise... thats something you could never disguise

Among the more powerful songs I have heard. Is that the three of you singing on this one. Reminds me in many ways of some of the folk ballads of the 1960s.

A very touching lament to the loss of love and all of it's repercussions that haunt one's heart and soul. We have all pondered these questions in agony over some long lost beauty. Well done by all.

Wonderful, guys. A very moving lyric, a haunting melody (especially the chorus) and a great performance. When these all come together, each of them lifts the others up to a new level. Bravo!

Wonderful sound mates! I actually like how it's arranged--a little space is good contrasting the bold harmonies. Maybe an entering percussion with a "soft mallet" cymbal role percussion coming in on the 2nd chorus might be cool for a building affect then continuing with not real pronounced drum kit-stopping at bridge then continuing in final chorus.
Great job!

Thank you for the comments Tom. I think what Travis meant in his opening post is that I wrote the melody. Just nitpicking. :-)

Great job John Vic and Geneva. Lyrically it reminds me of the ABBA song The Winner Takes it All. Very well written. Looking forward to seeing where this song goes.

Beautifully done. Simple, touching lyrics. I don't think of the arrangment as sparse. Clean is more like it. Nothing more than needed. I love the harmonies especially how it sounds like they're in the same room maybe around a single mic.

Personally I think the sparseness should stay...I wouldn't add much at all
Sweet sad song....The sad part is we don't know if he can actually take that look now...But at some point and time he will...Heart wrencher guys
