Hey all, Just got my enhanced/mastered cd back from Sub and I can tell you...I am thrilled with the job he's done and highly recommend his work....he had a great "feel" for each song. Didn't know which one to post, for they have all been up here...so I picked True Happiness... http://www.soundclick.com/bands/songInfo.cfm?bandID=452552&songID=4041527 If you would like one of the cd's (got a good picture and frisbees real good) e-mail me your snail mail...if you haven't already... Thanks to everyone for commenting on the songs through the process... To quote a line from Scott Campbell's song The Brakemans Gone... "I've got friends on the internet...I've never even met." the rest of the songs are here http://www.soundclick.com/bands/pagemusic.cfm?bandID=452552 thanks, tom [This message has been edited by Tomtimeless (edited 11-15-2006).]

Hey Tom,
I compared the version on the unenhanced CD with this new one and Sub's wizardry is obvious. There is much more clarity and the tones are more separated. Very nice improvement. Can't wait to get my new CD!

I guess that's what you felt when you got this back from Sub? "True Happiness" lol
Sub's handy work is apparent in that it is all you!
I'm excited to hear of your new CD!
Way to go T!
Thanks for sharing and for your CD, I know I'll enjoy it!

Hi Tom....What a pretty little blues song.. nice lyric, well constructed, good theme...cant compare it with your original,i never heard that version...but this is pretty tight to my ears,..really liked the feel of the guitar, fits in like a glove in the cut,and gives it a lovely ambience...overall,a real good piece of work..well done to you both...Terry..

Louie, He couldn't fix the singing Reminds me of the time I went to the barber shop and the Barber asked, "How do you want it cut?" "I dunno", I replied. "Just make me look good." He said, "I'm a barber not a magician." tom

Originally posted by Tomtimeless: He said, "I'm a barber not a magician." Hey Tom: I needed a laugh and you provided it - a good one I was gonna wait till tomorrow to listen over my headphones at work. Then I thought, "one mark of a well mastered song is that it will sound good even over cheap speakers". And this one does! Very clear vocals and great separation of the parts. It sounds really great, Tom.... Still gonna play it tomorrow though Congrats on finishing your CD! See ya Scott

Scott & Everbody, Don't misunderstand, I'm not saying that this will set the world on fire with audio quality...but what I got back really amazed me...I only sent one wav file per song...they came from tape and tape and computer combined...so I really couldn't send all the tracks...just what I had mixed down... I was going to replay all the songs from scratch...when I got multi track capability, but the type of player I am (jam & bar band) I would lose the original feel of the songs...and have since burnt out on them... I'm just saying it was a great job with what I sent in...next group of songs I will have all the tracks organized... ...maybe... tom

Tom,
"I'm looking for a place...called true happiness"--I love the hook line in this song! The goove in this song is just terrific. The guitar sounds great as do your vocals and the harmony vocals. I love the Blues and you certainly have done this one right. Great work, Rick.

Hi Tom, Sorry I'm so late in getting here. I'm so happy that you are enjoying the CD. There are some very cool songs on here and I really love "My Friend The Blues" & Rumour Mill. It's funny but it was cool that I had heard all these songs before I ever started working on them same with Scott. Cant think of any place I could send my music that heard all my songs already lol... The key to this CD was to keep the guitar upfront and also get the vocals to cut through better. Luckily thet share alot of the same frequencies and it worked for both. I Really enjoy your tunes and look forward to the new ones with your advancements in the recording stage. Many of these songs were on tape with bouncing and all that. I know that world VERY well! Again sorry you haven't heard from me I've been WAY off lately Peace & thanks Sub
