Hi everyone, I found a local ad for this keyboard and I want to know what everyone thinks about it. I already have an Alesis Qs6 but it is an old model and small. This is good in that it is very portable, but it is bad because I often find that I am reaching for some keys that are missing. I also have a hard time transistioning from my acoustic to my electric. I hate the difference in feel. So I am thinking of getting this keyboard in spite of the weight and size. It is still a bit lighter to lug around than my baby grand! The price is really good too! I can get the keyboard,a $500 Roland KC500 keyboard amp as well as a heavy duty stand all for$1200. The keyboard alone sells for over $1200 on ebay. Thanks for any help here. I don't want to spend this much money on something I will regret buying later. Marla

Marla, The S80 is a fine keyboard. I have a student who has one and several friends who have them either in their studio as a controler or on stage piano. The weighted key is an advantage for piano/elect. piano but of course a negative for organ sounds. Kinda tuff to pull of any type of slides without alot of practice. Anyway, the piano sounds seem to be really nice. The only negatives i personally have against it is that it doesn't have an onboard sequencer. If you are a writer who does alot of sequencing, it could be a con. I just purchased a roland fantom that i am very pleased with. I also have a Korg Trinity Pro X. If you don't mind the haul of a full size keyboard, it should be a good buy at that price. Hope i helped. thanks and good luck! Jeremy Bussey Birmingham, Al.
