I don't normally do things like this, but this song has a special meaning, for too many reasons to mention. It was included on a D.C. duo's, "Water's Edge" debut CD...Sadly, we lost the lead singer shortly after the CD came out. So I'm posting it as a tribute to Galactic Annie Sucher. http://www.soundclick.com/player/single_player.cfm?songid=9381471&q=hi&newref=1EAST TEXAS The diner is closing, the cars on the freeway can be seen from the window as she's stacking the chairs. Following dreams, they're headed for somewhere. Somewhere is anywhere other than here. And nobody told her that the cost of growing older would be dreams that don't die, though out of kindness they should. But she watches the tail lights, headed for bright lights, watching them leaving and wishing she could. And the moon it is rising tonight on East Texas, so close you could touch it if you dared to believe. But a moon full of dreams is still gone in the morning and whispers of wonders is all that it leaves. The job pays her bills, and puts food on the table, clothes on the children and flowers on the grave of the young man whose picture sits under the counter where he still holds the family he's left her to raise. And the moon it is rising tonight on East Texas, so close you could touch it if you dared to believe. But a moon full of dreams is still gone in the morning and whispers of wonders is all that it leaves. Katy are you ready, I've locked up the cash box calls a voice from the back room in a fatherly tone. It looks like a full moon, let's walk out together. By choice there is no one who would walk out alone. And the moon it is rising tonight on East Texas, so close you could touch it if you dared to believe. But a moon full of dreams is still gone in the morning and whispers of wonders is all that it leaves. Midnite

"If someone is truly a jerk, or truly is not deserving of any positive reply from you, polite indifference is the best response you can give. Do not insult. Do not slam. Do not follow the urge to be nasty. Simply be politely indifferent." –Brian Austin Whitney
