When I saw BIAB, I clicked on to give a listen. I’ve done 6 CD’s with me playing and doing all the instruments, and then I discovered BIAB. Great tool, especially for drums which I really don’t play all that well. Bass is pretty basic so I usually mute the one in BIAB and play my own.

Not much to add to what the others have said. I would definitely recommend exporting each BIAB instrument to a wav file then mix using programs like Audacity. Do the same with your vocals. That way you’ve got better control over each instrument and once you get it under your belt can start moving parts of wavs around, copy/paste, etc. I’m finding I spend more time on mixing and post production than I do on the actual recording.

Since real blue grass is pretty raw, I would agree with the others to cut back on the reverb on the vox. They didn’t have mics and amps in them old barns.
