Blind, Deaf, and Dumb
[08/27/2016]

the rain's fallin' down on this sunday afternoon.
I'm sittin' around with nothin' much to do.
grand kids are here both playin' on the floor.
healthy and happy who could ask for more?

not me. what 'bout you? not me. then who?
someone blind to beauty and life that holds the key.
hope that it's not you.... it's not me.

when I listen to the music of all that surrounds me.
I want to sing along, carrin' the beat.
steppin' and a singin' right along in time.
sharin' every melody, who'd leave that behind?

not me. what 'bout you? not me. then who?
someone deaf to laughter, who never sees the need.
hope that it's not you... it's not me.

day to day I'm livin' through the daily livin' grind.
makin' the best the best use of my time.
livin' for the moment, the moment that's at hand.
might be hard for some. who don't understand.

not me. what 'bout you? not me. then who?
blind, deaf, and dumb to the magic they can't see.
hope that it's not you....it's not me.
