Tony, I'm intrigued by this sentence from your post above: "BIAB instruments are all squashed into the midrange and you can't Eq that out because there isn't any high/low dynamic to play with." Wouldn't the frequencies be tied to the sound the instrument makes? A piano playing a middle C or a G would always be the same frequency - otherwise it wouldn't be a middle C or a G? I think (and hope) I might be setting myself up for an explanation of something I don't fully grasp here.
