Dom's definition of superior songwriting... "Has guitar and sounds like Springsteen." Exactly. And there are those of us who think that Springsteen's early stuff was fresh and innovative, but the later stuff only made it to the spotlight due to established star power. But Dom, for some reason is fixed on it. His early stuff wasn't ground breaking at all, but it was provocative and urgent and delivered with un bridled passion. He had Dylan and van Morrison influences all over it. It wasn't really till darkness in the edge if Town dud he become Himself. The idea is to connect and communicate, writing good lyrics and good tunes is a big start
