Yeah I used Wikipedia and Google Maps when I wrote the lyric and read about the cut that allows ships in and out...Big oil and container port and rail\transportation hub. I understand the big tourist draw is San Padre islands and coastline moreso than the city itself
The lyric is a metaphor...the heavy rain is both literal in the hurricane but in the situations I am painting. Could have set it in Berlin but the round feel said coast. LOL
If writing ever becomes work I think I'm going to have to stop
