Makes sense to me to send this to her publicity agent as your version and "homage" is of potential PR value and it IS a beautiful piece of music...and as you say different enough not to be a problem and close oenough to be inspired by it Also reflection of what makes you a professional who makes their living in music. Taking care of business Her singing of that is enticing. Great that you have captured and extended it.
If it were to become a hit, with your rendition, how would the royalties work? First, I don't think there would be a copyright issue. They're too different. That being said, I did send an email to Lisa Kudrow's publicity agent. I doubt this would become a hit. Thanks, John Yes, I would feel better if they gave me permission, John. John
