Ooooh... Oh, Oh... This one's gonna' hurt! This vision is making me go cross-eyed!
Mr Mankunt is about to validate Cancel Culture within the word "Axiom". He will claim that polarizing beliefs are irresistibly provocative, instead of admitting and taking responsibility for his own antagonistic compulsions. He will even use AI to define his own psychopathy. His long winded bloviation will only conclude with a circular rhetorical question; Which came first? The fart... or his breath!? I think I get it now Marty
Everything we say about Mr Trump is being taken personally by you.
Your strident defense of everything he did and does is because you are personally affronted and believe you have to defend your election choice.
The result is that Tony, Rob, Dom and myself are living in your head and you cannot stay away or react differently...trapped in your own algorithm. I'm afraid you don't get it now Aohn. You're rationalizing. You don't live in my head. But you have made your contribution to an atmosphere that has dwindled participation at this site. Which is regrettable. And you seem to have finally realized that. It is a simple issue and circumstance. If you have a goal oriented endeavor involving multiple people of different backgrounds and you start beating a political or religious drum....you are going to create discord and drive people away, that would have remained otherwise. The time tested axiom is spelled out very well in the blue text below. Violate it with inevitable consequences. This site is an excellent case in point. Your continued rationalized attempts to try to shift the blame onto my personality or one of the many people who have simply chosen to withdraw as a result of this atmosphere... is DOA and reaching...and flies in the face of a basic reality that has yielded a time tested axiom. These breakfast sessions where I attempt to clear some of the foggy minds here is taking more time than I have. I was glad to see you state that you have decided to stop the political rants. That was a good decision. Good Saturday to you. “If you want to start an argument, bring up and persist in talking about either religion or politics”.
Why This Axiom Persists (from Gemini)
The logic behind this "unholy trinity" of topics (Religion, Politics, and Money) is rooted in the preservation of social harmony. Here is why they are often cited as the primary ingredients for discord:
Identity vs. Opinion: Unlike discussing the weather or a movie, religion and politics are often tied to a person's core identity and moral framework. Attacking an idea can feel like a personal attack.
The Absence of Common Ground: These topics often rely on faith or subjective values rather than empirical data, making "winning" an argument nearly impossible.
Emotional Volatility: Discussion in these areas tends to trigger the amygdala (the brain's emotional center) rather than the prefrontal cortex (the rational center), leading to heat instead of light.
DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME HERE... CANCEL CULTURE IS ALIVE AND WELL @JPF! YOU'LL NEVER KNOW WHAT'S ALREADY BEEN DELETED...
