Hey, Joel, If you live in (or near) a moderately sized city, they probably have at least 1 or 2 small recording studios. Touch base with them, they may be able to use you from time to time. (Remember that Kris Kristofferson started out as a studio janitor....) Music stores, too. Even the very smallest towns I've ever lived in had at least one music store. Any local bands? Maybe you can offer something to them for a few bucks here and there. Just a couple of ideas to get your juices flowing.
