Yup Richard, that just about sums it up doesn't it. But of course you really cannot place the entire blame on the publication. Enquiring minds want to know all the trash, and too many believe or are entertained by the BS. And the "objects" of all this are also not entirely blameless. They need thrive on publicity and would probably welcome the exposure as long as it does not cross "their line"
So everyone has to carry a bit of the blame and price for their existence.
