Vanessa, I didn't defend the character's development. no specific reason is given for the killer's motive. A neighbor does say he thought the guy would care for his sick wife till doomsday. he was obviously wrong. a motive is briefly implied, that's all. thanks Moose! I recently got a new pc and paid Best Buy to transfer all my stuff onto the new one. they lost everything. I found this on an old cd-rom but couldn't bring it up. a local guy was able to do it but he said all the formatting would lost...italics, indentations etc. I hadn't read it in years but after checking out the first paragraph I went ahead and posted it anyway. I guess I need to go through it and polish it up.
