I've become pretty diligent about researching things I hear on the internet. It doesn't take long to find a lot of info. When I read negative reviews, I try to look for the real reasons behind them, and try to find opposing reviews until I can judge for myself before buying.
Most times, negative reviews regarding computer-related products seem to stem from ignorance or a poor home computer...and they blame the product.
Not many companies decide to put out a product that "sucks" and "never works right".
