I didn't know this about the song. This song reads like a man instead of a woman should be singing this particular version. But, indeed a woman on the CD called Celtic Wonder is singing this song. There are a lot of versions to this song including the Robert Burns version. I'll have to check into this song more. Maybe now I can find the sheet music for "Gringo" and maybe change some of the words to be suitable for a female vocalist. Thanks for the information.
Wow, I also have to say, I kept looking for "Siuil A Ruin" and finally found the sheet music on Sheetmusicplus.com and ordered the sheet music book along with a single sheet music score. There are several other songs as well that I like.
