Folks of our generation are not supposed to like the current pop music. If we did, the kids would become horrified and move on to something else.
On the reverse, kids typically did not like their parents music either. Sure there were exceptions but, generally speaking, boomers did not play their parents' music. That's one thing that seems a little different today. My friends that have kids tell me that their children really like music of the 60's and 70's.
