For future ref it might be an idea to see what is available locally in the way of musicians and studios. Most music orientated guys are pretty decent and will help any way they can.
We often borrow and lend gear to each other or step in to cover gigs or a band member off on holiday or illness.

In my area we work a favour returned and barter system mostly. You do someone a favour and they return it. Even the studios come and go and will help by going the extra mile for less than the going rate. They usually are pretty good all round musicians as well as engineers and tech guys who will lay down parts as required and record and produce your songs.

I have been in the business a long time and know lots of people who as friends all help one another. I am pretty certain this bond is universal.
