Still trying to figure out what to say. Changed title to Live a little country life
Live a little country life. (c) Scott Steven Walters
Dad grew up in town bought a small dairy farm. With an old rickety house and barn. Spent a few years fixin up the place. Building charm into our living space. Gave us four boys ponies to ride. Swing sets for my sisters with twisty slides. Spend that time with his kids and wife. He got his chance to live a little country life.
Live a little country life. Tryin to beat the rain on a cloudy day. Putin up a little bit a hay hay hay. Where switch grass grows ducks in the sky. Save some wetland for the children too. Live a little country li li li life.
Mother moved to town after dad passed away. I know she will see him again someday. Sold the buildings with forty acres. To raise her youngest two finger shakers Signed a fish and game deal ten year terms. Moved dirt around built a couple berms With a bigger plan to preserve a little land. Childhood memories where old trees stand.
Live a little country life. Tryin to beat the rain on a cloudy day. Putin up a little bit a hay hay hay. Where switch grass grows ducks in the sky. Save some wetland for the children too. Live a little country li li li life.
Over the years, wetland disappeared. That surrounds ground I grew up on. So I bought the rest of mother land. Came up with a conservation plan. To collect rain and melting snow. And create a new native wetland.
Repeat chorus 2X

"If you are stuck in your musical composing, be unreasonable. Change your environment. If you are stuck in your lyrical efforts, instead of forcing the same old words out, force yourself to do unreasonable things." -Brian Austin Whitney
