Exactly what is sting edits? A production company was looking for some songs to suit some up coming TV shows, one of my songs suited what was called for for one show. Only thing they wanted to hear some sting edits of the song. They said I could do it myself (SURE I COULD LOL) or they could send it out to be done by a studio that specialized in doing sting edits, but it was going to cost ME about $130.00 US. I declined. There was no guarantee they would use it, and even if they did, how much would I be paid? No answer so I declined.
Anyone here ever faced with this sting edit thing?

I think it means clips of the song or just the hook, to be used in short 15 30 second spots. I guess instead of hook, to fish, it's the sting, of a bee, the biting part??? Dont know why its caled that but I think thats what it is. Or, maybe they want you to cover a Sting Song. Yes, just a bits of the song chopped up to use as transitions within a show. Maybe 3 seconds to 15 seconds. Easy to do in Audacity or another DAW. I could do a song into stings in about 10 minutes. Scam? Dunno - could be, or not.
