The title just came in to my head day before yesterday. I think the genre is rock. Didn't think it needed a bridge but I could be wrong. Comments welcome. I saw the title yesterday, Vic and couldn't break away for a serious listen. Loved the line..."What would your Mama say if you went astray." I could go on and on... but this one is perfect for your vocal... and could chart if only the right break would happen. No "nits" here... you have the ability to hone it to perfection but it works just fine, as is.

The thing I like most about this is it's the opposite of the usual "LOOKING FOR LOVE" thing....you don't hear many leave me alone songs.....hah....well done.

Hey Vic!
I listened to this yesterday, and liked it's general feel and melody, but felt something else may be needed to round out the mix a bit. I'm getting a little "Country/Rock with this with a "Springsteen" feel with this beat.
I played the intro a couple of times, for me, I'd count to four twice then crack into this song. The other thing I'd like with these quick phrases, is maybe some end of line "answers" with the lead guitar and possibly some quick drum hits with it--maybe not every time. Something to experiment with--for what it's worth. Loved this chorus, even though it's not an "in your face type," it still feels powerful.
Nice work here, I think you can improve it with some subtle arrangement changes!

Isn't it great when your hook just shows up like that? You certainly did it justice with both your lyric and performance.
That said, I do think a bridge could help fill it out some. Maybe something about WHY he's not looking for love? I dunno, something like...

Strange how things happen by accident.
In the second chorus I made a mistake by going to the chord of G instead of C and finishing with a Bm7 and it works like a bridge to the instrumental, so I went some way to what you're thinking.
Other than that I do prefer not to explain the meaning of a song too much. Rather leave it up to listener interpretation. Sort of audience participation. (Hey! That Rhymes). Lollylol!
So, what you're suggesting (although makes sense and is well thought out) is not the feeling I want for this song.
It goes without saying though that I will think your suggestion out.
