This was a great listen. Strong verses/strong chorus/and loved when the Bridge gave me that little break to allow the main melody return. I think a lot of songwriters/composers under estimate how powerful and needed Bridges can be in a strong melody song. Lyrics just fun and lighthearted--just what we need as news seems to constantly & competitively tug at us from all directions!

I have the same syndrome, my reviews are rarely without comparison to other artists, can't help it. There's always hope that the writer being reviewed likes the artist they are being compared to, or at least surprised by.

You get such a great sound, love the bop bops, reminds me of Pete Townshend vocals in Face Dances....

Wonderful song!!

Has a Gerry Rafferty vibe, what with the two chorused rhythm guitars and their L/R panning, and the lead vocal mixed on the subdued side, and especially the way you do the smooth close harmonies. As catchy as Rafferty's best, making sure to have a killer guitar hook in the chorus, and those hooky bop-bops are wonderful as well.

Seems like one of those lyrics that must've taken a lot of work to roll off your tongue so smoothly.

It's not surprising that this was good. Everything of yours that I have ever listened to was good.
Appealing composition of sounds that are cleanly layered, pleasant to hear and complimentary of each other.
All with a toe tapping beat.

This keeps running around in the back of my brain. Really enjoyed the whole song but these lines keep popping up in my thoughts. Love the melody.

Catchy tune. IMO reminiscent of much of the Beatles' earlier work. Have an idea for an idea to cover in a future piece. Most peoples' live seem to be very busy these days, and the cult of excessive busyness has been in vogue for some four decades now. Actually the opposite of what many pundits originally expected with the advent of modern technology that most of us now pretty much kneel at the feet of. Many claim that being super busy may suit them just fine. Yet underneath the surface there appears to be quite a malaise going well beyond the search for work-life balance. All while tech companies such as Amazon are treating their workforce as livestock at best, vermin at worst. Or, is being active and getting things done too natural for much of today's folks? In fact, for many of us, if we have to sit for too long, we will probably feel restless and anxious. I have never really considered myself to be one of the so-called Type A folks who need to be moving all their waking hours, and yet they are the ones who have been in the drivers seat for the past four decades.

This would be a great subject for a song, and probably the closes hit song to this theme many have been "Stop and Smell the Roses", which may well have been a decade before it's time. Judging by the song you posted, you probably would be the natural one to produce something on the above mentioned topic.

Very smooth and laid back. Catchy too and a great chorus. As Mike says, it has a bit of a Gerry Rafferty vibe, a seductive combination of understated and singalong, but I like it better than most of his songs

The one bit I didn't like as much as the rest was the long tail , just repeating, "Perfectly happy." It built tension towards a release in the form of a final visit to the chorus or even just the last line of the chorus, which never arrived. That would have been a great way to end it imo.

Answers for the sound I get......hmmm.....listing gear used is one thing, but I am considering making at least one video showing my process, then it will all be right there in a neat little package.
