Hi,
I mostly write Christian songs and I'm looking for feedback on this lyric. I'm also looking for a co-writer that can put music to this. I'm willing to evenly split songwriter royalties and credit if anything happens with the song in exchange for the demo. All I ask for is either a piano/vocal or acoustic guitar/vocal with 2-3 part harmonies in the chorus. You can email me darintechdude2@gmail.com if interested and mention you are a JPF member. Thanks for your time.
"The Cross Tells My Story"
(v1) I thought I wasn’t worth Your love to be redeemed That’s when You changed my heart to give me victory The shame of my brokenness pointed me straight to You The wounds of my past are a story You will use
(Chorus) The cross tells my story Of how You forgave me and set me free Now that I tasted Your grace, I’ve never been the same Satan lost the keys to my heart at Calvary My shackles fell when I called out Your name All that’s left to do is give You the glory I'm blessed that the cross tells my story
(V2) I can’t praise You enough for all You’ve done for me I’m thankful for the price You paid there at Calvary When Satan whispers in my ear I’m a slave to sin That’s when Your mercy reminds me where I’ve been
(Repeat Chorus)
(Bridge) You still love me despite the mistakes I’ve made Your arms are wide open, saying it’s not too late
(Repeat Chorus)
