The fourth movement of Béla Bartók’s Romanian Folk Dances, titled “Buciumeana,” arranged by Söndörgő and inspired by Miles Davis’s album Kind of Blue - what a way to celebrate Miles' 100th birthday. We kicked off the MÜPA season on September 23 with a concert featuring a talk, where we performed this piece, which in recent years has often provided moments of quiet contemplation during our concerts.
