This song was inspired by someone close to me who's going through one of life's toughest chapters. I've been through this journey myself, so I know the heartbreak, the uncertainty, and the challenge of starting over. And thanks to Guy E. Trepanier for getting me hooked on the ukulele. I've been using it more and more lately, and I love the warmth and character it brings to a song. Brand New Set of Keyshttps://soundclick.com/song/15282536[Instrumental Intro] [Verse] The white dress turned to fighting The dream house fell apart Now she’s standing in the shadows With a heavy, broken heart [Verse] The moving boxes stack up The papers have been signed She’s leaving all the wreckage And the heartbreak far behind [Chorus] But she’s trading in the sorrow For a brand new set of keys Finding room to start all over Chasing every little dream Got a new job, got a purpose Got some hope that she can hold Yeah, she’s rewriting a story That she thought had all been told She’s got a brand new set of keys [Break] [Verse] At night she lies in bed wond’ring How she’ll make it all work out But faith can be a whisper Louder than her doubt [Verse] The childcare bills are heavy She’s running on a dime Her kids remind her why she’s taking One day at a time [Chorus] But she’s trading in the sorrow For a brand new set of keys Finding room to start all over Chasing every little dream Got a new job, got a purpose Got some hope that she can hold Yeah, she’s rewriting a story That she thought had all been told She’s got a brand new set of keys [Bridge] And somewhere down the highway When the storm is finally gone She’ll find some time for her own life And welcome in the dawn [Final chorus] Oh, she’s turning the ignition With a brand new set of keys Found a little place to call home Got a little room to breathe Got a job that pays the bills now Got a future she can see The road was long and winding But she’s finally feeling free She’s got a brand new set of keys [Outro] She’s got a brand new set of keys She’s got a brand new set of keys

Bill Thanks, Bill! 😊 You're right - the ukulele makes key changes a whole lot friendlier! And I agree... I was hoping Suno would let the uke shine a little more. Maybe next time I'll have to tell those silly robots, "More ukulele, please!" 😄 Thanks for listening and for the kind words.

Reminds me of someone in my past...God rest her soul... Thanks, Tex. I'm sorry for your loss. It's amazing how a song can bring back memories like that. I appreciate you listening and sharing that with me.

I tried it on suno w my light weight free membership, and not happy w the sound. Not much uku data bank I suppose, it being extremely commercial lite. But it’s a good lyric…heavy stuff in the verses and bridge….then light and free in the chorus. Methinks the music arrange should mirror this? Slow troubled pain…..to happy happy free dancing in the chorus….the chorus be where the uku’s live and breath. Bill
