As I experiment with Suno, im finding my own complete music much more satisfying, and overall better.

I was obsessed with entering of a hundred lyrics or so, since this has come out. Whixh, im glad i had them all, and not goijg amywhere, and it Was a lot of fun, but I think really, the more of yourself that goes into it, the better it is, assuming there is more.

Glad i tried it that way, but im noticing a flurry of new ideas coming, new melodies, new riffs. New vibes. New songs

I think now its about making Ai the band and co producer. And really if I had the capacity to have a band, id use them.

Bottom line what im doing is better than what I was doing. So much to learn.

Well cause as suno progressed it seemed to allow the user to do more than just add lyrics, i thunk cover version eas the start of it.

Doesn't have to be Suno, but that's what I'm doing now

I'm a little confused. I thought you were using Udio rather than Suno. And when you say you're putting more of yourself into the music, do you mean you're actually creating the melodies/riffs yourself and uploading them, or are you mainly generating and selecting ideas in Udio?

I've been using udio, only to trigger arrangements with lyrics and prompts. That was first ever experience with Ai, was using udio since Mike Z introduced it to us

I've been messing we with suno, I've put older demos thru for covers.

Been writing songs since I first got my guitsr over 4o years ago.

I have shoe boxes full of cassette tapes with snippets on it,, old phones and hard drives with music, lyrics, full songs.

So I never really needed to write another song again.

But what I've found in entering lyrics only, that my creative juices were being handicapped a bit.

Now new ideas are coming, new melodies, riffs, and its similar to times when I've taken a break from it, it opens up the flood gates.

So now, I can take my guitar,, start playing, rhythms , riffs etc, sing, upload to suno, use as is, or have ai be the band and producer.

I can even be a bad piano player, to produce piano style songs, based on a motif or melody played on keyboard .

Dusting off the DAW, I still have dozens of fully programmed drum tracks programmed in ez drummer, can simply upload one of those and suno will cover that.

Fun times

Its more bringing ideas TO the medium. Lyrics entered were bringing ideas TO it. Its the same with band in a box. I felt everybody was using band in a box, like let me add a song to my band in a box.

Should be using band in a box to enhance what you already have. That's why most band in a box songs sucked

I suppose anything can spark an idea.

But I have more ideas than I can possibly record.

But not being involved in the music side, other than curating, got boring.

Ready to use my musical ideas too and sing

You sound like a broken record , Get in the studio and record them . You're dead in 10 years , what are you waiting for ? Jesus to return ?

Wow stand in front of a mike and sing , how difficult . Shite I need a nap. Sing it again . you slave driver .

Naw I'll pretend Suno singers are me and take all the credit . Use a fake name like Joe Saddle out of Missouri. I was born at midnight during a storm .

What pic will I use , I know a runway model , Dashing and macho . That weathered outlaw look .. Yes Yes Yes , that's it. I'll name my band , liar liar pants on fire

I agree that using suno to make yiur vocals sound like a pro and calling yourself a singer, is just as bad as using suno guitar and calling yourself a guitar player.

I wouldn't be doing that, I will be singing my own stuff, playing at least rhythm guitar, plucking riffs and motifs, seeing how suno enhances it.

But yes authenticity is a problem for most using Suno.

But what your not seeing, a big concrete block in your head, Suno IS the studio.

Still sitting in front of mic, is bring done.

I have only put lyrics only in for a cople of novelty things to amuse my Granddaughter and wife. They are just so-so musically. The fuller your demo (music, lyrics, production, good singer) that goes in, it produces way more. I write a lot of lyrics for verse-pre chorus-chorus-bridge-outro/tag whih gives Suno 5_ different things it can do, I also often include a solo and breakdown for further diversity. It actually likes to be challenged and rewards you. The big knock for me is I write 3:00-4:00 minute songs usually but it adds 30 seconds of fluff, often in the intro even when it is instructed not to. Super annoying and inconsistent (simply prompting for "no intro" etc. doesn't work. Even stuff with vocal only starts to the demo STILL add a full intro and often no matter what it also adds music at the end, though [abrubt end] prompt helps often. I shortened songs by ADDING words! So now I put a tag at the end of nearly every song and that often works well.

Yes, it’s like AI music facilitation has ADHS….stay on point please Suno.

Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a common neurodevelopmental condition marked by ongoing patterns of inattention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity that interfere with daily functioning or development
